ERA, a member of the Suppliers Partnership for the Environment (SP) since 2011, was one of the proud sponsors of the Evening Welcome Event for the 2022 SP Innovation Summit from July 27th to 28th.
The event was held in Columbus, Ohio on the Ohio State University (OSU) campus, hosted by SP, the leading forum for automakers and OEMs, their suppliers, environmental regulators, and government entities.
The focus of the two-day event lied in providing practical solutions for addressing critical barriers to action impacting the sustainability of the automotive industry and supply chain. Its key themes were carbon neutral manufacturing, circular EV batteries, environmental justice, water stewardship, and zero waste and sustainable materials.
ERA and our collaborators from Toyota Motor Manufacturing Kentucky (TMMK) and Concordia University also presented a one-hour breakout session on how our software is using Artificial Intelligence to identify anomalies in multi-year Big Data, as well as perform sustainability tracking and management.
The session was hosted by Sarah Sajedi, co-CEO and CTO, Chelsea Scalia, ERA's Sustainability Project Manager, David Steedly, Environmental Engineering Manager at TMMK, and Dong Jae Kim, ERA's research partner at Concordia.
Among many topics, the presentation went over the history of the tool ERA has been developing since 2020 to detect and flag anomalies in very large data sets. ERA is in the process of integrating the tool into the software so that clients can scan their production data for anomalies on a weekly or monthly basis, saving time and resources otherwise spent on manual reviews and lengthy corrections.
