Optiva Users
OverviewA user-friendly, inexpensive software
designed to serve coating distributors by improving the services
made available to their customers and speeding up recordkeeping
tasks by importing and exporting data electronically. ERA-CERTIS
provides coating product distributors a fast, accurate, and easy way
to provide product specification and regulatory information to their
customers.
ERA-CERTIS allows the distributor the
capability of producing Material Safety Data sheets (MSDS) on
existing products and blended products. Product specifications and
Customer Invoice data can be quickly and easily imported.
The available reports can provide your customers with assistance in
meeting compliance requirements (National Emission Standard for
Hazardous Air Pollutants, VOC reporting, and other regulatory
reporting needs: HAPs, VHAPs, SARA 312 and SARA 313).
Forecasting allows you to quickly provide an
estimate of the impact the purchase of specified products will have
on customer's emissions of VOCs, HAPs and VHAPs.
Our long and close collaboration with many major coating vendors
helped us to constantly improve ERA-CERTIS and make it a compact,
easy-to-use, powerful tool that allows you to deal with all the
technical and environmental information that you need to put
together and provide to your customers.
Products
Products can be viewed,
sorted and searched easily. Environmental information is displayed
in a suggestive graphic mode. The section includes several powerful
tools such as the data import, the blend wizard, blend update and
the forecast.
ERA CERTIS: Managing Your Customer Data and
Invoices
The module stores and
manages customer data and invoice information.
Customer data can be easily imported from another data source (your
company accounting program, sales database, point of sales, etc.).
The Invoices section
allows the user to import or manually enter purchase of products for
customers. Environmental reports for a customer that spans a period
of time (ex. Year to date, first quarter, annual totals, etc.) can
be generated easily.
ERA CERTIS: Designing and Printing Labels
The module helps customize and print labels
for your different products. Label templates can be designed and
edit easily. With the Label data template creation wizard you can
create and edit the hazard phrases, add them to your template label.
The program allows you to assign a number to each phrase, so that
you can set the order in which they will appear on the label.
Once created, a template can be assigned to
a product or a whole category of products. The Label printed
template wizard you can personalize the appearance of the labels.
The system provides you with a library of pictograms to choose from.
Your company logo can be added as well. Templates can be imported
and exported from the system.
ERA CERTIS: Managing The MSDS's
The MSDSs module manage
all MSDS files related to your products. Regardless of their format,
(text, image or PDF) the MSDSs can be searched for, viewed and
printed, from one general view screen.
When you create a new product by adding or editing a new blend, the
program prompts you automatically to create the related MSDS and
CPDS.
If a component of a product needs to be changed, the program can
automatically update all the MSDSs for the products containing that
component.
ERA CERTIS: Managing The CPDS's
The system allows you
to manage all the available CPDSs one screen. Image, text and PDF
CPDSs can be easy located, viewed and printed.

provided by the coating suppliers can be also imported into the
system.
Master ChemList
The Master Chemical
List includes a current database of all Federally regulated
chemicals as well as many State, regional and LEPC Regulated
Chemicals.
ERA's regulated chemical list currently contains over 9,000
chemicals. The chemical library conveniently includes all of the
chemicals known as "glycol ethers" in addition to all other known
regulated chemicals. This list will be kept up to date by ERA
Environmental Consulting, Inc. quarterly or every six months
depending on the changes that occur in regulation settings.
In the current Master
Chemical List you can include imported or user entered chemicals.
The user defined screen allows you to enter very specific
(county/city) regulation.
ERA CERTIS: Batch / Optiva User Mode
Module designed for
coating manufacturers that use Batch Master/Optiva formulation
software. It creates environmental reports and allows users to
create electronic files. |
